An enormous THANK YOU!

6 March, 2018

Dear Chris
It was great to talk to you at the beginning of December about our work and the difference your generous contribution has made to us. Many apologies for taking so long to send you the photographs you requested. The money will be so useful. We will use it to help fund our reminiscence trolleys and gift bags that help to trigger conversations for patients who, for a variety of issues, find starting a conversation quite difficult.

Kissing it Better is a registered charity and works all over the country. We have worked at Watford Hospital since 2014. We have won two national awards for the care we offer and are currently shortlisted for a Queen’s Award. Our work is regularly featured on TV and Radio. This year we have had items on BBC TV, ITV News, ‘You and Yours’ on BBC Radio 4 and Three Counties Radio.

At the beginning of November we launched our brand new teaching programme. It is a registered as a regulated qualification on the Ofqual.gov website. Students can complete it as part of a college course or as part of an enrichment programme.

I regularly give talks about our work. Over the last twelve months I have spoken across the country including at speech at an event at 10 Downing Street and also at a House of Commons event.

I should be delighted to come to talk to your members about our work if you thought it would be of interest. As requested, here are some pictures of our work in Watford.Without the generous support of organisations like yourselves, we would not be able to afford the simple gifts and reminiscence material that do so much to lift the patients’ spirits.

Once again many thanks for thinking of us. It makes a tremendous difference to the work we do.

Happy New Year

Best wishes
Jill Fraser, Chief Executive
