At a meeting on 10th May 1976, it was agreed to found a Lodge to be known as the High Barnet Masters’ Lodge, to serve as a focal point for the Hertfordshire Lodges which traditionally met in the Barnet area. Masters and Past Masters of Lodges residing the area would also be welcome to join. This would enable a bridge of friendship to be formed between Hertfordshire, London and other Provinces.
The First Master of the Lodge was W. Bro A W P Fawcett MBE, TD, PAGDC, Provincial Assistant Grand Secretary and later, Provincial Grand Secretary.
