This Lodge was named after the first Lodge in Hertfordshire, The Red Rampant Lyon, which met at a Public House of that name in Chequer Street, St Albans. The Members of this Lodge, according to the set of Principles associated with the By Laws, are Grand Officers invited by the Provincial Grand Master to a maximum of 20. Progressive offices to the chair start from Wardens.
Meetings have mainly been held in London and dining after the meeting is an important feature of the Lodge: the vintage port being provided by the Worshipful Master.
