Tablers, past and present’, petitioned for a new Lodge in Hertfordshire which was consecrated at the Rickmansworth Masonic School. It joined the many such Lodges throughout the country providing a focal point for all members of the Craft with a Round Table background. The first Lodge in 1958, known as Round Table Lodge No. 7619, met in London. Names vary some link the name of Table with the relevant Province, others allude, i.e. Table Rotunda, and a further variation is Lodge of Fellowship.
The motto of Table is very appropriate, “Adapt, Adopt, Improve” taken from a speech by the then Prince of Wales. Its most important objective is Fellowship.
The Lodge Crest is based on the Table Badge and incorporates the Hertfordshire Hart.
