Tony was born in St. Albans Hertfordshire in 1955,and  educated at St. Julian’s Secondary Modern School he left in 1971 and started work as an apprentice carpenter for a local building company a trade which he has endured all his working life, the company had an establishment in Blaenau Ffestiniog North Wales where he met his wife Susan in 1974, on moving his family back to St. Albans in 1979 Tony started his own successful building company he and his wife have 4 sons and 7 grandchildren,

He was introduced to Freemasonry by his Brother and was initiated into Prae Wood Lodge 8919 in 1989 and was Worshipful Master in 2000 having held the offices of Secretary, DC and Charity Steward over the years,  he was appointed as Provincial Assistant Grand Chaplain in 2007, Promoted to Prov DepGChap in 2009 and further promoted to Prov GChap in 2013 over the 10 years of active service Tony has taken part in 20 ceremonies writing 20 Orations, in 2015 he was appointed to the rank of PAGDC in Grand Lodge, he is also Chaplain of The Herts Masters Lodge 4090.   He was Exalted into Bushey Hall Chapter and was a Founding member of Prae Wood Chapter 8919 , Tony was perfected into Rose Croix Masonry having the 30° Degree conferred on him in 2012, he is also a member of The Red Cross of Constantine holding the office of Divisional High Prelate.

Outside of Masonry he is an active member of the St. Albans Salvation Army since 1986, and has climbed 4 of the 3000mt peaks in Snowdonia, and follows the migration of the Ospreys each year in North Wales and Scotland
