Calling All Lodge Almoners!

30 July, 2019

Two Almoner's Workshops are to be held on Wednesday, 4 September at Ashwell House in St Albans.

Following the great success of two earlier events in February, and subsequent high demand for more, the Provincial Grand Almoner, Simon Cooper once again warmly invites all Lodge Almoners within the Province to attend one of two informal Almoner’s Workshops, which are to be held on Wednesday, 4 September at Ashwell House in St Albans.

The aim of the workshops is to give Almoners a better understanding on how the Masonic Charitable Foundation works and how they can support the membership and their dependents in the pastoral role of Lodge Almoner.

Almoners are also invited to bring their partners along; especially if they accompany them when visiting members. Likewise, Lodge Secretaries and their partners are also more than welcome to attend.

Each workshop will feature two speakers from the MCF; the Provincial Engagement Manager, Mike Martin, and a yet-to-be-confirmed representative from the Advice and Support Team. Both have a wealth of knowledge in this area.

The first workshop will start at 3pm, followed by the second at 7pm. It is expected that each one will last around 1-1 1/2 hours; depending on how many questions are raised. Refreshments will be provided.

If you would like to attend, please let Simon know at your earliest convenience (and preferably no later than Sunday, 4 August) by clicking here. Please be sure to include your name, Lodge number and whether you will be accompanied when sending your message. The dress code is smart causal.
