Bob Chilvers of Dacorum Lodge No 8631 presented a cheque for £500 from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Hertfordshire to the Herts Inclusive Theatre; as a result of the Lodge’s recent nomination of the charity.
The members of the Theatre were delighted with the Province’s continuing support of their work and took the opportunity to share details of some of their upcoming shows, which includes an inclusive production of the musical comedy ‘Hairspray’, coming in the spring.
As well as their ongoing programme of events, the Theatre also run a number of initiatives, including drama workshops and general ‘healing’ activities aimed at improving the quality of life for the disabled, disadvantaged and ‘left behind’ sections of the community in Hertfordshire.
In presenting the cheque, Bob Chilvers stated: “As Freemasons, I firmly believe that this is a unique opportunity to support some very needy elements in our community close to home; all over our County. We could not do more good in Hertfordshire with our (limited) charitable donations in any other way that I am aware of. Please keep up the good works, which will enable them to keep up their good works – they are truly ‘all inclusive’.
