Brethren,
Following the announcement on Monday evening by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care that London and parts of Essex and Hertfordshire will be placed in Tier 3 from 00.01 hours on Wednesday 16th December I have taken the decision, with the agreement of the Deputy Provincial Grand Master and the Provincial Grand Master Designate, to extend the current suspension of Craft meetings in Hertfordshire until midnight on Monday 5th April 2021.
Regrettable as this decision will be to many of you my overriding concern has been for the safety and well-being of members of the Province, their families and the local community as well as the protection of the NHS which is facing greatly increased demand on its resources.
Needless to say this decision will be kept under regular review and will be adjusted as changing circumstances demand.
