Tony was Initiated into Medburn Lodge No 8841 in 1990 and served as its Worshipful Master in 1996. He is also a member of Hertfordshire Masters' Lodge No 4090 and Hertfordshire Provincial Grand Stewards Chapter No 8984. Tony is also an active member of the Royal Arch.

Tony was born in Bath in 1959 and moved to Bushey in Hertfordshire in 1968, via Sheffield and Preston. Having worked in various different fields over the years, he has been working at DAF Truck since 1993. Tony married his wife Beanie in 1983 and they have two children and three grandchildren. In any spare time remaining after everything else has been subtracted, he quite enjoys setting the odd quiz and regularly hosts East Hertfordshire Lodge No 3748 and East Hertfordshire Chapter No 3748's annual charity quiz night.
