Masonic Classic Vehicle Club announces display vehicles for the Classic Motor Show at the NEC in November

25 October, 2013

The Masonic Classic Vehicle Club has announced the vehicles to be displayed on its stand at the largest indoor classic car show in the UK – The Classic Motor Show. The show is to be held on Friday November 15 to Sunday November 17, 2013.
The MCVC stand – No. 350 in Hall 12 – will feature Historic Competition Cars. The eldest is a 1932 Austin Seven Ulster which regularly takes part in classic rallies all over Europe, raising money for deserving charities by its enthusiastic owner Roger Gourd. The largest on the stand is a 1929 4.5 litre ‘Blower’ Bentley of the type raced by the Bentley Boys at Brooklands and Le Mans. An example of the legendary Long Nose ’D’ Type Jaguar, the car that dominated long-distance sports car racing at Le Mans in the ’50s is another car on display on the MCVC stand. Finally, the ‘most beautiful Grand Prix car ever built’ – a 1958 Maserati 250F F1 car. Naturally the car is finished in Italian racing red! This particular machine is racing at Spa in October, so it will be on display at the NEC subject to not being damaged in an ‘off’ at the Belgian GP circuit.

Membership of The Masonic Classic Vehicle Club is open to all current Freemasons who either own, or have an interest in, classic vehicles – either cars, motorcycles, commercial or military machines.
