W. Bro. Simon, has secured the role of Assistant to the Higher Degrees in Rose Croix.
A former Metropolitan Police Officer, W. Bro. Simon is currently Secretary of both Old Elizabethans Lodge No. 7987 and Grove Park Lodge No. 2732. Many Brethren may also have met him at Grand Lodge as a “Teller”, the man asking for your Lodge number and booking you in to Grand Lodge.
He is also the Recorder of Ravenscroft Rose Croix Chapter 418, meeting at Cheshunt.
As Assistant to the Higher Degrees, the principal responsibility of the position is the organising and running of the Higher Degrees meetings (30°, 31° and 32°) together with the associated responsibilities of vetting and compiling recommendations for promotion to the Higher Degrees and the up keep of the District/Group Higher Degrees Entitlements.
The work also entails the production of the Yearbook; Annual Circular; collation of the Annual Statistical Returns; liaising with the Supreme Council IT consultants on all IT matters and such other duties as the Grand Secretary General may require.
He starts on Monday 2nd June and will be based at 10 Duke Street Saint James’.
