The outdoor bowls season has now drawn to a close. The Herts Masonic Bowls Association, HMBA, entered the MACE Trophy (Masonic Annual Charity Event) held at Rushden against 15 provinces. After winning the event last year at Taunton, this year we managed to come 10th!
On 15th September, the finals of the inter-lodge bowls competition were held at Herts Bowls Club in Watford. Cups and Trophies were presented by Marcia Dunstone — Preisdent of Bowls England. The Parsons Cup – Singles ………………… won by Bro John Bishop, Cheshunt St.Mary Lodge 6808.
The Estell Cup – Pairs ……………………. was won by Bros John Bishop and Fred Cable.
The Charles Edward Keyser Cup – Triples …was won by Bros Don Edwards, David Sutcliffe and The Estall Cup – Mixed Pairs ………………. was won by Bro Rob Dempster and Shirley Page
